Why do we separate general admin support from social media support?

Whilst we aren't Social Media Managers, after many years we have come to realise that combining admin support and social media support creates scope creep and often means one overshadows the other. Splitting expectations keeps this clean.

"Why are you so expensive?"

Our prices are in line with the UK VA industry and far below that of Social Media Managers (who go out and create ALL the content themselves).

Additionally, when you contract with Ruka Business Support, you are not hiring an employee but instead are investing in a dedicated team of professionals responsible for all of the expense aspects you now no longer have to consider, i.e. National Insurance, pension schemes, training, equipment, holiday/sick pay, tax...

Can other members of my team contact my Lead VA?

We prefer that our Lead VAs take instruction and discuss strategy with only one decision maker. However, you are welcome to assign subsequent team members to oversee particular aspects. For example, copy messaging, or accounting oversight. In these instances, you will agree in writing to that individual taking responsibility for subsequent outcomes.

How do we end a contract?

In the unfortunate instance that we do not meet your criteria whist engaged on on of our retainer or ongoing support packages, we would ask for 30-days notice, in writing. This allows for complete and secure handover of all aspects we have managed, to whomever you choose. 

Our 90-day Intensives are a minimum 3-month and 4-month contract respectively and, as we unpack, reshape and implement significant changes in your business over this time, we do advise clients to 'stick it out to the end'. With so much involved in these programmes, we do hold clients to their full contract payment commitment.

Why do we not offer hourly Support rates?

We are not the 'clock-watching' type of business support people. 

In supporting you and your business, it is an intrinsic part of our ethos to invest, not only our time, but our concentration, knowledge and dedication. You will always get our best and that rarely fits into an hour-by-hour time frame.

Conversely, using packages, you never need to worry that your invoice will be more than you bargained for or that the job will be half-finished as 'time ran out'. What we promise, we perform.

Do I have to speak to different people for each task?

No. We run on a 'single-point-of-contact' basis.

Our company carefully selects Lead VAs who represent our values and areas of expertise in such a way that they can understand, organise and relay your needs to our multi-skilled team 'in the background'.

We will only ever introduce you to another person when referring you to our trusted Partners or potential business collaboration directors.

Will my information and business strategy be safe?

We take our GDPR and data protection responsibilities VERY seriously. In fact, it may sometimes seem that we're being a little TOO pedantic. Each of our team sign NDAs and we use only the best reviewed software in regard to security protocols.

What if my Lead VA and I do not get along?

We take significant measures to ensure that our Lead VAs are matched to you...even before you meet! However, if you clash, we will investigate the circumstance and decide whether it is simply a case of personality not matching or a matter of values misaligned. If we can pair you with a different Lead VA and retain your custom, that would be the ideal. You are always free to give notice if you believe the situation is irreconcilable.
